Copper earthing rods are critical components in electrical grounding systems, designed to provide a low-resistance path for fault currents, lightning strikes, and electrostatic discharge directly into the earth. They are generally manufactured from high-purity copper (99.9%+) or, more commonly for mechanical strength, steel with a molecularly bonded copper coating.
